HIM 2021 Deeper Session: Mental Health: Viewing Child and Adolescent Mental Illness through the Eyes of Faith

Dr. Matt Stanford • Mental Health: Viewing Child and Adolescent Mental Illness through the Eyes of Faith The scriptures teach us that children are a blessing and reward from God and should be recognized as such. Children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders, like all children, are created in the very image of God and possess a common set of spiritual needs. The aim of this presentation is to educate parents and the church about child and adolescent mental health problems from both a biblical and scientific perspective. In the presentation, Dr. Stanford will also discuss how the church might better minister to these children and the caregivers desperately trying to support them.
