All of us are affected by serious mental illness — some because of our own diagnosis, some because of close family members, and many more because we regularly interact with people who have a mental disorder. Churches and ministries are the first place people go for help in addressing a mental health problem, yet many ministry leaders don’t know how to respond or fail to recognize the opportunity to provide critical support. In this presentation, Dr. Stanford will provide understanding for faith leaders and all of us wanting insight into how our faith communities can help those struggling with serious mental illness.
