This year marks one of the most significant moments in our story—a season of both gratitude and growth. After years of faithful leadership, we are transitioning to a new chapter as Fernando Castillo steps into the role of Executive Director. Under his guidance, HIM will expand from an annual conference to a year-round media ministry—creating podcasts, digital content, and online discipleship resources that can reach people far beyond our shores.

Hawaiian Islands Ministries is entering an important moment as Pam Chun, one of HIM’s beloved cofounders, prepares for retirement. For more than forty years, Pam and Dan have poured their lives into nurturing, teaching, and encouraging believers across the islands. Their devotion has shaped HIM in lasting and meaningful ways.
To honor Pam’s years of service and to responsibly navigate this leadership shift, the Board of Directors has established a Leadership Transition Fund. This fund provides a retirement and transition package for Pam and ensures that HIM follows established nonprofit standards and IRS guidelines for appropriate and reasonable compensation.
This special campaign will run through February 28, 2026, giving friends and supporters an opportunity to participate in this meaningful moment in HIM’s story.

If you are 70-1/2 yrs or older donate to HIM from your required minimum distribution (RMD)
What many retirees don't know is you can donate all, or a portion of, your required minimum distribution (RMD) directly to charity as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD).
