Hope for the Homeless: What Christians Can Do

A webinar featuring Paul Gates, Executive Director, and Rann Watumull, Board President of River of Life Mission.

We can all think it is hopeless in dealing with the homeless in a state where we have the HIGHEST per capita rate for homeless in the nation. This webinar examines the situation and gives some practical tips of what you and your church can do to be part of the solution and not the apathy. River of Life Mission President, Rann Watumull, and Executive Director, Paul Gates speak on the crisis and give a great model of what we can do to solve it.

Paul Gates, Executive Director of River of Life Mission

Pastor Paul Gates comes straight from the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Growing up on the mission field with Wycliffe missionary parents, equipped Paul to handle even the most life threatening situations. Biola University prepared Paul for ministry as he obtained 2 degrees in Non-profit Marketing and Biblical Studies, and later going to Talbot Seminary for a Masters of Divinity.

Paul has been an ordained pastor and nonprofit leader for the past 34 years, with a ministry focus to see people truly experience the joy of serving others. Paul’s motto is that “happy people, help others.” Paul has traveled the world to 27 different countries - leading, speaking, teaching, consulting and performing 701 weddings.

Paul is married to the world’s most beautiful woman, Shauna, with a rowdy house of 7 kids, who are all dedicated to helping others too. This is all nothing short of a praise and a prayer.
