KEITH BATTLE
When Keith Battle first began preaching in the late 1980s, those who knew him would often hear him say he never wanted to be a pastor. What an awesome responsibility! This mindset came from a combination of him loving what he did as an itinerant preacher and from the difficulties pastors experience in starting and maintaining a church. Yet, apparently the saying is true, “never say never.” Today, Keith is the founding senior pastor of Zion Church in Largo, MD, which under his leadership has grown to 1700 regular attenders. Zion Church is geared towards reaching people who would not typically hear the gospel nor attend a traditional church setting. It is within this “Seeker Sensitive” model that Pastor Battle is able to use his unique gift of storytelling to make the Word of God clear, concise and practical. [www.zionchurchonline.com]
